The Mill Mountain Conservancy
(MMC) is a group of Roanoke citizens who have come together to voice concern over the proposed commercial development in Mill Mountain Park and to challenge the premise that Mill Mountain Park, in its present form, is a failed city asset or wasted real estate. Its mission finds strength and comfort from the Fishburn family's statement last Spring in its letter to City Council: NO DEVELOPMENT ON THE MOUNTAIN - NOW AND FOREVER.

This site savemillmountain.com, is sponsored by MMC to keep all concerned citizens informed of upcoming meetings and on-going discussions regarding Valley Forward's request to place an upscale restaurant and deli shop on Mill Mountain and to provide a place for citizens to share their own memories, thoughts or concerns relating to Mill Mountain Park.

This site is NOT a place to belittle or insult Valley Forward's membership or question their desire to improve Roanoke. It is meant only to challenge their belief that development in our signature park is the path to a greater Roanoke.
